Manifesting in the Self-Discovery Group Classroom
On January 26th, we hosted our first live event of the year: Mission to Manifest. It was an amazing day filled with incredible people manifesting their highest good. We had all of our Self-Discovery Group teachers in the room, including founder Deanna Marcus, therapist Kirk Cook, healing teacher Barbara Sambuceto, and spiritual life coach Wendy Williams. Photographer Sofia Marcus-Myers, designer Celeste Folsom, and analytics wiz Michele Houck joined us as well. It felt like the whole fam was there!

Three Steps to More Fulfillment
Manifestation is all about creating the reality you want. To do that, there are three important steps you need to take:
-
Know who you are and take accountability.
-
Define your intention.
-
Surrender and forgive.
To clarify, let us break down what these three things mean.
Know who you are and take accountability. You’re in the center of your life and reality. Whether you think they are or not, your thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and actions are manifesting what’s happening in your reality. Pay attention to what you’re projecting in your life, because your life is always showing you who you’re being.
Define your intention. You have to define what you want in order to be able to grow it in your life! This is where mission statements come in (you can read more about writing mission statements by clicking here and here). Make a new mission statement every year. Doing so gives you an opportunity to work with specific facets of your personal development and personality. To drive our soul’s purpose forward, we need to align our personality with our soul’s agenda.
Surrender and forgive. This is the hardest part for most people, but it’s essential to the manifesting process. Surrender what you don’t have control over and release attachments to your fear of being you. The true you is enough. We have little control over most things. What we do have control over is how we respond to what’s happening in this moment. When we choose to learn from our hardships, we have the greatest opportunity for growth and change. We experience our biggest successes when we push past our comfort zone and move into a place of insight. Fear is a mega creative buzz kill! To surrender and forgive yourself and those who have wronged you is to release yourself from the prison of attachment.
Note that forgiving someone doesn’t mean you have to convince yourself that their past behavior or deeds are acceptable. Forgiving someone is the acceptance that you won’t be able to change the past. The past is something you have no control over. Remember: we don’t have control over much in this life, but we do have control over how we move forward. Let go of your attachment to the past to make room for whatever you want to spend your time and energy focusing on now.
